I'm intrigued by the notion of Ireland as coloniser and colonised. It seems to me that many of the population hear would espouse anti-colonial perspectives, especially with regard to the British, but simultaneously be unquestioning adherents to the colonist, modernising, growth-obsessed paradigm that is erasing our connection to this land
